Woohoo June! We had
to wait a little bit longer than usual
for our new shipment to clear customs
during the circuit breaker period, but
we’re thrilled to announce that an
abundance of exciting new wines is now
available.
For a start, the latest wines from two
iconic biodynamic Champagne domaines —
Marie-Courtin and David
Léclapart — are now here.
From Burgundy, there is a profusion of
new wines to discover, including some
from the region’s most talented young
guns. The landmark 2017 vintage has seen
Charles Lachaux and Domaine
Arnoux-Lachaux’s unassailable
ascent to Burgundy superstardom; and it
would be remiss of us not to mention the
super-talented Thibaud Clerget who is
taking Domaine Y. Clerget to new
heights with his elegantly seductive
Pommard and Volnays.
We have added some brilliant new
Burgundy domaines to our portfolio too.
Firstly, there’s Domaine
Chandon de Briailles, which is
brewing up a storm with their very
pretty Côte de Beaune wines which have
wowed critics and collectors alike. The
region is in good hands with smart and
thoughtful upstarts like Moron-Garcia,
an ambitious duo in Nuits-Saint-Georges
that is crafting perfumed, pristine
burgundies of absolute class and
profundity which are generating some
major buzz amongst the cognoscenti. Need
more Chambolles? No worries,
we’ve got you covered with Domaine
Amiot-Servelle. With celebrated
vineyard holdings and sleek, perfumed
wines, what more could we ask for?
We’ve also got some fantastic new wines
from other regions. The latest bottlings
of Sylvain Dittière’s magnificent Loire
Valley gems under his iconic La
Porte Saint Jean label are nothing
less than spellbinding. Moving
southward, discover the joy-giving,
mind-bending wines of Envínate,
beloved darlings of the Spanish new wave
and a precious new addition to our
portfolio.
Will there
be more virtual tastings and
online chats with winemakers?
Yes, we will continue to help bring you
closer to these wonderful humans who
make the wines you love. Do stay tuned
on this channel as well as on our Instagram
(@artisan.cellars)
feed to be informed of upcoming sessions
as well as exciting new offers.
In case you’ve run out of reading
materials, the exciting new issues of Pipette
and Noble Rot magazines are now
available in limited quantities. (See
the section below.) Do remember that we
are happy to combine magazine purchases
with your wine orders and have them
delivered together to your home.
And yet another
bit of good news…
To help ensure your wine stocks are
well-maintained, we are extending
our lowered minimum spend for free
delivery beyond the original
circuit breaker period to cover Phase
One of “Safe Opening”.
As with the circuit breaker phase,
purchases of S$280 nett and above will
continue to be eligible for free
delivery to a single Singapore
address. Otherwise the usual delivery
fee of S$25 will apply.
If you order 3 bottles (or less) but do
not meet the free delivery threshold,
we’ve lowered the delivery fee to S$15,
applicable during this Phase One period
of “Safe Opening” only.
Have fun looking through our wine list
and offers below. Do drop us an email at
sales@artisan-cellars.com
should you wish to inquire further or to
place an order.
In the meantime, continue to stay safe
and drink good wines, everyone!

Noble
Rot –
Rediscovering Lost Champagne
|
|
As discussed — and promised
— in our online IG Live session with
Noble Rot founder Dan Keeling, the
latest issue of the magazine
has now landed, ready for your eyes
and minds to devour.
Noble Rot is a quarterly
magazine that joins the dots between
wine, music and food from a fresh
perspective. The articles are
non-pretentious, engaging and
entertaining; educating while avoiding
the clichés of most wine writing.
Counter-cultural and edgy, it will make
you laugh while making you think.
Issue 22 includes features on the wines
of Catalonia and Jurançon, as well as
Burgundy’s often under-appreciated
Aligoté; the tasting of a bottle of 1895
Pol Roger recently excavated from the
site of the domaine’s historic 1900
cellar collapse; and Emilia Romagna
gastronomy.

Pipette
– the indie mag about natural
wine
|
|
The latest issue of this magazine
about natural wines is beautifully
illustrated throughout by Gianluca
Cannizzo, ‘the natural wine pop
artist.’
Pipette is a gorgeously
printed magazine that chronicles the
intimate but vibrant world of natural
wine with an edgy, contemporary
perspective and beautiful photography
and artwork. This independent periodical
remains a trailblazer in wine
journalism, telling the stories of the
visionary humans behind the wines we
love, and the communities that surround
them.
Issue 5 has a special focus on Italy,
and includes features on several Italian
natural winemakers, as well as city
guides for Milan, Turin, and Venice. The
issue features wines from outside Italy
too, spanning across Europe and North
America.
