The most experienced Burgundy connoisseurs will tell you that Dugat-Py's wines are burgundies of remarkable natural intensity, an honest produce of its respective Terroirs which deserve aging to show its fullest glory. Those who have the opportunity to taste Dugat-Py's wines over the years, however, would have noticed that they have increasingly put on a definite suppleness encouraged by an effortless ripening in the vineyard which its biodynamic viticultural practices endows. This was apparent as early as in his 2008s, and they've never looked back since.

Dugat-Py's 2012s perpetuate their seemingly endless bull-run. While some of the vintage's seductive quality is evident, this is still Domaine Dugat-Py, and so the wines maintain an admirable intensity, energy and purity. Without question, each is the exemplary best of each appellation and they will age tremendously.

Again, the quality level of each wine/cuvée steadily reaches the uppermost end possible at their respective levels. They are proof that this is a breathtaking set of wines so uniformly excellent that one's eventual choice will be a matter of personal fancy rather than a qualitative decision.


Chef Markus

The young, passionate & talented Chef Markus Lee started his career in his homeland Penang. He has been trained and working in various fine establishments around the world to develop his culinary skill: Juan Amador restaurant, Germany, Shook @ JW Marriott, Kuala Lumpur and Garibaldi, Singapore.

He has then decided to return to his homeland and set up Restaurant Markus, modern Italian cuisine. This new establishment is located at the heart of Pulau Tikus along Cantonment road. Restaurant Markus is set to deliver a new standard of Wine & Dine experience to Penang.

Restaurant Markus has quickly becomes a new hot spot for wine & dine in Penang. Artisan Cellars is very pleased to co-host the Domaine Dugat-Py dinner @ restaurant Markus with one of the best vintages since 2005, the 2012 vintage!
